- What concerns me most is not the requirement that everyone buy health insurance, but the requirement that I, as an employer, must pay for health insurance for my employees or pay a stiff fine. I am trying to figure out what individual will have to pay for his own healthcare.

- Perhaps what needs to change is work ethic, pride, and self-sufficiency. We have reached a point where too many people have no idea how to take care of themselves. They have always relied on Uncle Sam, or mom and dad, to provide for them.

- We as a country are in trouble because you have half of the citizens contributing nothing but on the verge of being able to keep people in power that only look out for them. When this happens, we're screwed. We will all soon be financially equal, i.e., broke.

- I wonder who pays the bulk of the taxes in those other countries. In the US, half pay no federal income taxes. If that is true, then the half who do pay are paying way more than their fair share. If you want to compare apples to apples, make everyone pay an equal share of income in taxes.

- My only problem with your comments is the last sentence. Why should workers be entitled to take from me, the business owner, every dollar down to the one that actually puts me out of business. Allowing me to stay in business only to provide jobs, but not make a decent profit, will not work.

- Well, the dems have been successful at creating all-out class warfair. Those who hate the "rich" CEOs and business owners need to remember something. Chances are those people risked everything they owned to start that business that created the jobs in the first place.

- I say honor the pensions for those who have already retired and phase out the guarantee for those still working. I understand that those retirees paid into ythe system all those years, but most will draw out much more than they put in.

- Banks do not want your house. It is the worst possible outcome for them. However, they cannot simply write-down your mortgage to the current value of your home because the money they loaned you actuall belongs to someone else (the investor).

- It amazes me that everyone on this page blames the banks for everything. If you have a mortgage, I am sure you were not complaining over the last 2 decades when your home value was rising. How many of you profitted from selling a home that had greatly appreciated.
